Abstract

Extensive practical experience in conducting drilling and blasting operations confirms the relevance of the application of the face in the context of explosion quality. However, based on the experience of some quarries, there are doubts about the need to use slaughtering as one of the main factors in increasing the efficiency and, accordingly, abandoning it. The authors of different studies are divided in their opinions. Many researchers claim that the slaughtering contributes to an increase in the useful use of the energy of the explosion, however, under certain conditions, the slaughtering does not affect the efficiency of destruction. The article presents a laboratory study of the effectiveness of the slaughtering during crushing by deflagration method.
