CASE REPORT
Introduction
Duodenal diverticulitis is an uncommon condition and
approximately 100 cases have been reported in the literature
so far. The presentation can be varied, and unless one is
aware of the possibility, the diagnosis may be missed. This is
a report of a patient with an acute presentation who was
treated surgically.
Case report
A 51 year old woman was admitted to hospital with sudden
onset of severe right upper quadrant pain. On direct
questioning the pain was continuous and referred through to
