Abstract
Onychomadesis is an idiopathic shedding of a proximal part of the nail as a result of the temporary suspension of a nail matrix function. It is seen in fingernails, toenails, or both. Various underlying causes like systemic illness, drug reactions, Viral diseases, and bullous diseases have been associated with Onychomadesis.
