Preoperative renal dysfunction is a major risk factor in heart surgery-. On the one hand, it is common knowledge that results of heart surgery in dialysis patients, in particular, are extremely poor, but on the other hand, there are only a few reports that focused on non-dialysis patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD) in Japan .
