O trabalho, terror, o consumo e o discurso conservador em Child’s Play (2019)

Abstract

: The aim of this work is to reflect on the aspect of terror, in this case the slasher, and consumption presented in the new version of the film (Child’s play) of 2019. To this end, a brief introduction is presented on the relationship between human beings and the toys. During the work, the relationships between work, production and consumption were analyzed with the proposal of how these factors interact in everyday life. Another point to be highlighted are the means of production, artifacts that are developed in subaltern countries, where producers do not have the economic resources to consume them, but are exported to meet the needs of capitalism, mainly in the United States, where plot. As a theoretical reference, it is based on Bocock (1993) and Marx (2013).
