In OA, it can effectively image inflamed joints and support appropriate clinical management. Preliminary evidences suggest a possible application of FDG in sarco-obesity for the detection and quantification of visceral </span>adipose tissue<span> (VAT). Abstract

Menopause-related musculoskeletal (MSK) disorders include osteoporosis, osteoarthritis (OA), sarcopenia and sarco-obesity. This review focuses on the applications of nuclear medicine for the functional imaging of the aforementioned clinical conditions.
