模拟根系生长动态
我们提出了一个简单的根系生长模型,该模型能够在不同土壤条件下重现根系分布模式。该模型假设根在任何深度的横向生长受两个因素控制:(i)给定深度的当前根质量或根长密度,以及(ii)可能限制根在该深度进一步生长的环境因素。使用相对土壤含水量作为环境因子,表明该模型可以重现在潮湿土壤剖面下常见的呈指数下降的根系分布。可以模拟在空间变化的土壤含水量下观察到的其他非指数下降的根系剖面。结果表明,简单根系模型能够预测不同的根系生长和分布模式,与不同土壤条件下的经验观测结果一致。
