Abstract
Atrial myxoma is the most common primary cardiac tumor. Their ability to embolize frequently determine the debut with focal acute ischemic central neurological symptoms. We report the case of a man of 17 who suffers sudden loss of consciousness due to cerebral embolism and multiple peripheral embolism with fatal outcome. We must consider the cardiac myxoma in the differential diagnosis in pediatric patients presenting with signs and symptoms suggestive of stroke.
