Abstract

The complexity of current software and the various dependencies between their components can affect their reliability, in particular their ability to tolerate faults. In object-oriented software, the interactions derived from such dependencies can lead to the propagation of errors. This problem can be resolved by implementing error detection and error containment mechanisms. Such techniques are used to tolerate faults. In this paper, we present three solutions where a component is reinforced in order to detect errors and limit their propagation to dependent components.
