Development of methodical approaches to forecasting the consumption of petroleum products in the context of changes in taxation and increased environmental restrictions

Abstract

The paper provides a short analysis of existing approaches to forecasting the demand for petroleum products. The main trends in the consumption of petroleum products in Russia and the world are analyzed. It is shown that in the conditions of severe environmental restrictions, which are increasingly affecting the economic development of industries and transport, the forecast of demand for petroleum products must be carried out taking into account the specifics of the fiscal and environmental policy of the state.
