Abstract
A large colony of duckweeds (Araceae: Lemnoideae) grows on the constantly wet, vertical wall of the rock shelter behind the Llanos de Cortes waterfall of the Potrero River, Guanacaste province, Costa Rica, the first such case ever documented.
