Abstract

El objetivo del artículo es profundizar en el modo en el que las comunidades hispanas construyeron la divinidad de los miembros de la dinastía Julio-Claudia mediante la consagración de sacerdocios cívicos de culto imperial. Concebidos los rituales en honor de la domus imperatoria como prácticas que reflejan la romanidad de sus participantes, se observa que, del mismo modo que la ‘romanitas’ de las provincias dejó de ser lo que los habitantes de la capital imperial entendían por dicha manifestación identitaria, el culto a la domus Augusta también se distanció del modelo que había nacido en la ciudad eterna con las consecrationes de los primeros divi y divae.The objective of the article is to delve into the way in which the Hispanic communities constructed the divinity of the members of the Julio-Claudia dynasty through the consecration of civic priesthoods of imperial cult. If the rituals in honor of the domus imperatoria are conceived as actions that reflect the romanness of its participants, it is observed that, just as the ‘romanitas’ of the provinces stopped being what the inhabitants of the imperial capital understood by this identity manifestation, the cult of the domus Augusta also distanced itself from the model that had been born in Rome with the consecrationes of the first divi and divae
