Strategi Penanganan Kawasan Tepian Sungai Tukad Yeh Poh sebagai Recreational Waterfront Kabupaten Badung

Abstract

The alleviation of informal urban settlements problems in Badung Regency refers to the City Without Slum Program (KOTAKU). The program begins by changing the slum area into a "Tourism Productive Area" on the Tukad Yeh Poh River banks. This effort aims to create an environment that has added economic value to the community and contributes to preserving the urban environment towards the formation of a sustainable city. This research focuses on examining strategies for improving the quality of the environment that has the potential for a slum in the research location as a productive tourism area in the form of a recreational waterfront in Badung Regency. This research is qualitative inquiry with descriptive analysis. Data collecting was carried out by the Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) technique. The study results describe the strategies undertaken to improve environmental quality, such as improving physical infrastructure, providing open public spaces
