Abstract

Studied the excitation efficiency of axially asymmetric oscillation TEM10q in an open resonator (OR) with the waveguide wave TE20. Found, that when consistent oscillations excitation in the OR took place, the latter had an angular and frequency selective spectrum. With the proper selection of geometric dimensions of the active coupling elements with the OR, one can provide a high power combining coefficient in the millimeter (mm) and submillimeter (submm) wave ranges.
