Abstract
The article discusses the stages of creating a prosopographic database «The governor's corps under P.A. Stolypin: 1906–1911», its research potential and the first results of working with the database. The dynamics of the appointment of governors in European Russia under P.A. Stolypin is analyzed. It is concluded that most of the governors appointed under P.A. Stolypin took this post for the first time. The role of the vice-governor's office as a stage in the career of the governor under P.A.
