Abstract

For successful communication of Wireless Body Area Network (WBAN) of the IEEE 802.15.6 using Impulse Radio Ultra Wideband (IR-UWB), it is important to properly evaluate the performance in different circumstances. In this paper, we investigate the performance of IR-UWB communications in the presence of multiuser interference. Focusing specifically on energy detector (ED) receiver with on-off keying (OOK) and pulse position modulation (PPM), this study aims at evaluation of the multiuser interference tolerance of the ED receiver which generally trades off performance to implementation simplicity.
