Un taller musivo en Jaén (España) = A Mosaic Workshop in Jaaén (Spain)

Abstract

Se pone de relieve, en base al estudio del original mosaico romano de los Amores de Cástulo, la existencia de un posible taller en Jaén durante el siglo II, como ocurre en otros lugares de la Bética, sin descartar el influjo que pueda tener de otras provincias romanas. Con ello lo encuadraríamos en la denominada «Escuela del Medio Guadalquivir» abriendo nuevas vías de investigación en este reciente y novedoso ámbito de estudio.In this paper we deal with the possibility of the existence of a mosaic workshop in Jaén during the second century, as it has been proved in other areas of Baetica. It could be inside the so called «Escuela del Medio Guadalquivir». In this way we contribute in opening new ways of studies in this recent research area of the local mosaic workshops.
