Abstract
Flavonoids are polyphenolic compounds having diphenylpropanes (C6C3C6) skeleton in their structure. Polyphenols are the compounds that contains more than one hydroxyl group in their structure. Flavonoids are classified on the basis of C3 ring as flavones, flavanols, isoflavones, flavonones, flavonol, anthocyanin and chalcone etc. [1].
