Abstract

Mechanical Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) is widely used in industrial production, to achieve the continuously adjustable speed. In this paper, closed differential mechanical transmission is the study object, using ANSYS software for thermal analysis of friction of the cone-disk and getting the influence results of friction heat to CVT performance — sliding ratio, the influence of the transmission efficiency. The results showed that adverse effects will be caused by the continued accumulation of friction heat, including the increase of sliding ratio and the decrease of transmission efficiency.
