In 2020, the Award for Master theses in Geography was awarded to Michael Zörner for the project entitled: Exploring the upgrading of protected areas from a social equity perspective: a case study from Laos’ first national park and Simon Nyboe Laursen for the project entitled: “Sedimentation of microplastic particles in the coastal environment”. Abstract
In 2020, the Royal Danish Geographical Society established the Geography Talent Award to support the objectives of the Royal Danish Geographical Society; to promote knowledge of the earth and its inhabitants, and to spread the interest in geographical science, and not least to strengthen the bond with young academics in the field of geography. DJG is an interdisciplinary, international journal that publishes peer reviewed research articles on all aspects of geography. Coverage includes such topics as human geography, physical geography, human-environment interactions, Earth Observation, and Geographical Information Science. DJG also welcomes articles which address geographical perspectives of e.g. environmental studies, development studies, planning, landscape ecology and sustainability science. In addition to full-length papers, DJG publishes research notes. The journal has two annual issues. Authors from all parts of the world working within geography or related fields are invited to publish their research in the journal.
