The surface area and pore structure of HZSM-5 and γ-Al<sub>2</sub>O<sub>3</sub> was measured with nitrogen physical adsorption. Results indicated a chemical adsorption of copper valerate occurred on the surface of γ-Al<sub>2</sub>O<sub>3</sub> and external surface of HZSM-5. The =(COO)<sub>2</sub>Cu was the adsorbing group. Abstract
