In addition, the proposed antenna also shows a compact size, compared to a corresponding elliptic monopole antenna. Abstract
The cross semi-elliptic monopole antenna and band-rejected cross semi-elliptic monopole antenna with finite ground plane have been implemented and investigated, respectively. Experimental results show that the obtained impedance bandwidths of the two designs of antenna fit the requirement of the UWB applications.
