Marbling of pineapple is an asymptomatic disease in the field and is evidenced with a brownish coloration when the infected fruit is use to eat and processed. Abstract

The pineapple (Ananas comosus) is one of the most important fruit crop of NEH Region of India. Marbling disease is caused by the acetic acid bacteria Acetobacter peroxydans Visser't Hooft and Erwinia herbicola var. ananas (Serrano) Dye.
