Abstract
Hypertension affects a large portion of the United States' population and is a significant risk factor for cardiovascular events. A variety of treatment guidelines exist including the American Diabetes Association, European Society of Hypertension/European Society of Cardiology and the Joint National Committee on Prevention, Detection, Evaluation, and Treatment of High Blood Pressure guidelines.
