Abstract
A smart image sensor with a size of 6.5 mm X 8.2 mm has been designed by a 2-metals 1-poly 0.7 micrometers CMOS process. It consists of a 16 by 16 photodiode array for picking up the piles, and each pixel is in parallel with a time multiplexed edge detector and a 4-bits memory cell.
