Abstract

We consider the asymmetric simple exclusion process (ASEP) on $\mathbb{Z}$. For continuous densities, ASEP is in local equilibrium for large times, at discontinuities however, one expects to see a dynamical phase transition, i.e. a mixture of different equilibriums.
