Abstract
. The species richness of the Hydrobiidae in Morocco is one of the most diverse in North Africa. Ainiella zahredini gen. et sp.n. is a new valvatoid hydrobiid gastropod from Morocco; it can be distinguished from other Moroccan hydrobiids by the morphology of the shell and anatomical criteria.
