The Rosenberg Self-esteem scale and The Center for Epidemiologic Studies Depression Scale (CES-D) were used. The data was collected and analysed with a t-test. Results: Level of self-esteem was found to be higher in males than in females (t= 1.73, p<.05) and levels of depression are significantly higher in females than in males (t=-2.74, p<.01). Conclusion: Females have low self-esteem and higher depression. On the other hand, males have higher self-esteem and low depression.
