Abstract
A Ti/CF/CFRTP joint method was suggested for the carbon fiber reinforced thermoplastic ABS polymer (CFRTP), and titanium (Ti) with extremely large friction force induced by broad interface of carbon fiber cloth. The tensile stress-strain curves of Ti/CF/CFRTP joint prepared by lamination method by ABS plates and CF-cloth sheets were obtained. The maximum tensile strength and its strain in Ti/CF/CFRTP joint were extremely higher than those of Ti/ABS joints prepared by wrap-casting and gluing. Developing the joint improved the safety level of tensile strength.
