Clinically, presents with a symptomatic hepatosplenomegaly and systemic symptoms but without lymphadenopathy. The diagnosis is confirmed after careful evaluation of bone marrow and liver biopsies or, in some cases, after diagnostic splenectomy. Overall, survival is short regardless of chemotherapy regimens applied, including autologous stem cell transplantation. Abstract
