Microbiota of Dental Caries in Primary Teeth of a Costa Rican Child Population

The inclusion criteria were: infants between 4 and 8 years old who presented cavitated carious lesions in primary teeth, who were actively attended by students at the Faculty of Dentistry from the UCR, and whose parents or legal guardians signed the informed consent to participate in this research. Samples were taken using a sterile spoon, placed in storage vials, and subjected to various conventional and molecular microbial identification techniques, such as Gram stain identification, catalase tests, oxidase, TSI, API 20E, API STAPH, and VITEK 2. 哥斯达黎加儿童乳牙龋的微生物群
本研究的目的是确定细菌存在于一些哥斯达黎加儿童患者的初级磨牙牙本质龋齿病变的微生物群。数据收集自哥斯达黎加大学(UCR)牙科学院儿科牙科诊所就诊的15名4至8岁儿童。纳入标准为:4 - 8岁的乳牙出现空蚀性龋齿病变的婴儿,由UCR牙科学院的学生积极参与,其父母或法定监护人签署知情同意书参加本研究。使用无菌勺子采集样品,放置在储存瓶中,并进行各种常规和分子微生物鉴定技术,如革兰氏染色鉴定、过氧化氢酶试验、氧化酶、TSI、API 20E、API STAPH和VITEK 2。革兰氏染色60株细菌中,革兰氏阳性菌28株,革兰氏阴性菌32株。主要分离出的微生物有表皮葡萄球菌、肺嗜性巴氏菌/溶血曼海氏菌、泛菌和变形链球菌。
