It analyzes the role of South Africa that presides over BRICS in 2023 and its overall impact on the existing world order. The study relies on a systemic approach. South Africa’s role as a country, which is gaining signifiant political and economic weight, is constantly growing thanks to its fast paced development and desire to participate in shaping and implementing the agenda of the new world order. Developing countries increasingly disagree with the rules and values promoted by the West and claiming their own vision of the world. South Africa is one of those countries that aspire to take an active part in the establishment of an international order. Abstract
The purpose of the study is to identify South Africa’s role in BRICS in the context of the crisis of the existing system of international relations and its participation in the processes of shaping the new world order.
