This paper analyzes ASCEND's impact on deepening urban teachers’ awareness of, and attention to, local injustices within their curriculum, and initial application of critical pedagogy. Abstract
The Atlanta Schools Critical Education Network for Distinction (ASCEND) is an ongoing interdisciplinary coalition supporting the critical consciousness of social justice educators.
