Los Elefantes de Aníbal = Hannibal's Elephants

Abstract

En el presente trabajo se pretende analizar la relación y empleo de los elefantes por Aníbal Barca. La dirección de los paquidermos por el general púnico ha sido asimilada por la historiografía directamente del relato de las fuentes clásicas sin ninguna pregunta científica.Hispania, el Ródano, los Alpes, Trebia, los Apeninos y Zama se presentan como los principales contextos donde nuestra investigación se desarrolla para esclarecer el verdadero papel y desempeño de estos animales en el ejército de Aníbal.AbstractIn the present work it is intended to analyze the relationship and employment of the elephants by Hannibal Barca. The direction of the pachyderms by the punic general has been assimilated by the historiography directly from the account of the classical sources without any scientific question.Hispania, the Rhone, the Alps, Trebia, the Apennines and Zama are presented as the main contexts where our research is developed to clarify the true role and performance of these animals in the army of Hannibal.
