Abstract

Original concept of `D-dot' wire relies on a dielectric cylinder embedded in an isotropic ENZ host that acts as an `optical insulator', causing directional flow of the displacement current. Here, it is shown that a directional flow of displacement current can also be achieved by using anisotropic ENZ `insulating' tube of finite thickness. This guiding phenomenon was investigated by scaled RF experiments.
