We describe the case of a 72-year-old man with subclinical hyperthyroidism secondary to multinodular goiter who developed TRAB and Graves ophthalmopathy after treatment with radioactive iodine. The patient had become hypothyroid, when his eye disease first made its appearance. Abstract: The development of thyroid stimulating hormone receptor antibodies (TRAB) and associated Graves disease has been previously described in patients with multinodular goiter after treatment with radioactive iodine. We describe the case of a 72-year-old man with subclinical hyperthyroidism secondary to multinodular goiter who developed TRAB and Graves ophthalmopathy after treatment with radioactive iodine.
