Abstract
A type of metamaterial-based center-fed mushroom antenna is proposed for low-profile broadband antenna design. The mushroom structure is used as the radiating element and aperture coupled beneath the radiators. Unique dual resonant modes are simultaneously excited for broadside radiation.
