Abstract
Alignment of Guide Rails takes up majority of the time in the process of Elevator Installation. The conventional methods are manual and time consuming and their accuracy highly depends on the accuracy of measurement of the installing workmen. Development of an Automatic system for detecting the plumb line and alignment of guide rails, which involves no human intervention, will improve work efficiency, accuracy and eventually lead to faster installation processes.
