Abstract
The styloid process syndrome consists of pain and the sensation of a foreign body in the throat, dysphagia, and otalgia. It can occur with or without an elongated styloid process. The patient presented here had dysphagia and weight loss. He had a large styloid process firmly fixed to the hyoid bone. His symptoms were relieved by resection of the styloid process.
