Report of 1 Case of Hand Dysfunction Caused by Hand Knob Infarction

Abstract

The hand knob area is located in the middle and upper part of the precentral gyrus of the telencephalon, and is responsible for the motor function of the contralateral hand. As a special type of cerebral infarction, the incidence of infarction in this area is less than 1% of cerebral infarction. The typical clinical manifestations of patients after the disease are simple hand dysfunction, without other positive signs. Therefore, it is difficult to identify with peripheral nerve injury in clinical practice. In this paper, through a classic case report, the typical clinical manifestations, pathogenesis and MRI imaging manifestations of hand knob area infarction are described and analyzed, aiming to improve the clinical diagnosis and differential diagnosis of hand junction area infarction.
