Abstract

Development in the measuring and protective equipment of power system is necessary for more reliable and economic operation of the system. The paper propose the development of potential transformer to have more compact structure to achieve accurate ratio in the equipment. Design rules for the piezoelectric potential transformer that has to be used while manufacturing should be very proper to get effective equipment results. Paper also suggest the prerequisites that should be consider while designing a piezoelectric potential transformer with the use of piezoelectric disc material.
