However, this level of SP significantly improved all tested semen quality parameters and serum lipid profiles of adult rabbits compared to those fed the low tested level of SP (0.3g / kg diet) or SP-untreated group. Abstract

Spirulina platensis (SP) is the powder of microscopic green algae produced and consumed for times all over the world, besides in Africa also for its nutritional and pharmacological properties. Thus, the present study was conducted to evaluate the effects of dietary SP on the reproductive and economic efficiency parameters of adult Red Balady rabbits for 65 days. The results revealed that 0.6 g SP / kg diet led to insignificant increased of the productive performance of adult and kids' rabbits, serum biochemical and economic efficiency parameters.
