Abstract

Pollutions in surface waters run down quickly, so the pollution waves cannot be detected by traditional point sampling. Remote controlled online monitoring methods can make the tracking of pollutants possible. These solutions ensure that we can immediately access up-to-date information. The goal of our paper was to compare online monitoring and laboratory measurement techniques. During our work, we investigated the chemical and physical properties of the Sed creek in Veszprem with two different online monitoring systems.
