Abstract

Industrial Control System employ wireless sensor networks for monitoring plant operational condition. The key challenging issue with the implementation of wireless sensor networks is the limiting energy constraint of sensor nodes. This paper proposes a novel approach for an effective energy efficient data forwarding technique based on the state information monitored by the sensor nodes. The sensed data is checked against a fuzzy rule database and a forward decision is made only if any rule in the database is triggered.
