Abstract

This paper proposes a bid responsive generation rescheduling method of congestion management. The selection of participating generators is done using sensitivity of generators to the flow of power in transmission line. The amount of generation rescheduling required for alleviation of congestion is made to respond to the bids submitted by generators for rescheduling their output along with generator sensitivity values. In this paper, the effect of change of bids of generator on amount of generation rescheduling is also analysed. The proposed method is implemented on IEEE 14-bus system.
