Sixteen men participated in the project and were self-selected. The results show that anxiety symptoms were significantly reduced and the level of distress and depressive symptoms slightly improved during the project. The results of the interviews revealed positive effects of the dance project in terms of coping with late effects, physical strengthen-ing, emotional disclosure, developing personal empowerment and increased self-esteem. Further studies are warranted to build on this prelimin-ary research.
