Abstract

The common construction for optimal optical orthogonal code (OOC) based on finite field is investigated. Since one group OOC results in decreased security of an optical code division multiple access (OCDMA) system, a novel algorithm of this construction for multiple groups OOC (MOOC) based on finite field is proposed. Using computer simulation, several groups of the MOOC can be obtained when different primitive elements are selected.
