It explores the dilemma of Chinese investment in Lebanon in light of its troubled security, political, and economic situation. Abstract
In 2013, Chinese President Xi Jinping announced the launch of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), which includes the Silk Road Economic Belt and the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road. In 2017, Lebanon officially joined this initiative, and thus China will be present on the western shores of Asia.
