Abstract
This study was designed to determine whether specific control/display association stereotypes exist in the population when controls and their corresponding displays are arranged sequentially on a two dimensional surface. The null hypothesis was tested under three control/display configuration conditions by means of a paper and pencil test administered to 70 male college students.
