Abstract

KMg0.09Fe1.91(PO4)2 is isotypic with KMIIFe(PO4)2 (MII - Fe, Cu) (monoclinic system, space group P 21/n). The framework is built up from [FeO5] and [Fe(Mg)O6] polyhedra sharing vertices, edges and connected by two types of bridging PO4 tetrahedra. The K atoms are nine-coordinated and are located in hexagonal channels running along the direction of c-axis.
